John co-manages the Fundamental All Cap Value, All Cap Value and Balanced Income strategy products and manages the Opportunity Account. John has 41 years of investment industry experience, all with the firm or its predecessors.
John began his career in 1969 as a research analyst with Davis Skaggs & Co. He went on to become director of research in 1971 and chairman of the board in 1982. In 1983, he was instrumental in merging Davis Skaggs with Shearson American Express. In 1988, John became the president and CEO of Davis Skaggs Investment Management.
John earned his BA in Economics from Stanford University and was elected Phi Beta Kappa. He also received his MBA from Stanford's Graduate School of Business.
