Harry "Hersh" Cohen

Hersh was appointed chief investment officer of ClearBridge Advisors in 2004. He co-manages the ClearBridge Appreciation and Dividend Strategy products. In addition to managing numerous private portfolios and retirement funds, Hersh has managed the Legg Mason Partners Appreciation Fund since 1979 — Scott Glasser was named co-manager in 2001.

Hersh began his career with a predecessor organization in 1969 as a portfolio manager and has 39 years of industry experience.

Hersh received his BA from Case Western Reserve University in 1962, and earned a PhD in Psychology from Tufts University in 1966. Hersh spends his spare time cooking and collecting American prints from the Depression era. He stays in shape by jogging, playing softball and hiking. Raised in Cleveland, he is an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians, the Cleveland Browns and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
